Christmas in Belarus

In Belarus, Orthodox believers celebrate Christmas on 7 January in accordance with the Julian calendar, whereas Catholics and Protestants celebrate Christmas on 25 December, using the Gregorian calendar. Traditionally, Belarusians celebrated Christmas over a two week stretch, a period traditionally called Kaliady, it is a fusion of the Christian holiday of Christmas and the pagan holiday of winter solstice

The Christmas in Belarus is a major occasion for celebration.

The interesting blending of the old and the new makes the Christmas in Belarus an unique event. The most symbolic factor categorizing the Christmas in Belarus is the Kolyady or the Christmas carols.

Simultaneous a visit to the church or the cathedral is an important ceremony reinforcing the religious aspect of the Belarus Christmas.

Another component which chiefly enhances the festive mood for Christmas in Belarus are the elaborate feasts where boiled rice is taken with raisins and honey, several pies as well as gammon and a goose.

Along with these, dishes are also made out of mushrooms; the herring, vereschaka, boiled fruits, oats kissel are the other traditional items in the Christmas feast.  This is indeed an interesting innovation.

3D printing

14-up4564 Printer

Chuck Hull is the inventor of 3D printing. He knew his invention would take up to 30

years to find people’s home. That prediction proved correct as the realistic prospect of widespread commercial 3D printers has only emerged in recent years.  Manufacturers have quietly used 3D printing technology — also known as additive manufacturing — to build models and prototypes of products over the past 20 years. Charles Hull invented the first commercial 3D printer and offered it for sale through his company 3D Systems in 1986. Hull’s machine used stereolithography, a technique that relies upon a laser to solidify an ultraviolet-sensitive polymer material wherever the ultraviolet laser touches.

The technology remained relatively unknown to the greater public until the second

decade of the 21st century. A combination of U.S. government funding and commercial startups has created a new wave of unprecedented popularity around the idea of 3D printing since that time.

3D printing  is the use of one of various processes to make a three-dimensional object. In 3D printing, primarily additive processes are used, in which successive layers of material are laid down under computer control. These objects can be of almost any shape or geometry, and are produced from a 3D model or other electronic data source. A 3D printer is a type of industrial robot.

3D printing is used in medicine, architecture, industrial production, in education. For

example in medicine using the 3D printing for the production of human organs, prosthesis.  There are advantages and disadvantages of 3D printing.

Advantages : affordable pricing, huge variety, improved life quality, increasing

productivity.

Disadvantages : harm authenticity, printing weapons, scan and fraud.

Using 3D printer people can make absolutely any items and objects. Finally, 3D Printers are making things that are actually useful.
